About Eric

Welcome to my website! I hope you find the content and links helpful with your fishing adventures! Whether you’re trying to get begin a new hobby or have been an avid fisher for years, I hope you can gather something from this site. I’ll fully admit, I’m no expert and usually end up with as many questions as answers from each fishing trip I take and am always looking for advice myself.

How I got here.

I began fishing (I’m told) before I can remember. What I do remember is the enjoyment I received from the unexpected tug of the line and reeling in the unknown. This was usually a fish but sometimes a tree branch, (which put up a fight all their own) an unsuspecting turtle (that we always released unharmed), and on rare (only once) occasion an unfortunate (for ALL involved) snake.

Fishing is an adventure each and every trip because they all have their own story. Fishing trips I have been on where we caught absolutely nothing had just as great stories as the ones where we filled the baskets and had family fish fry’s. Many a trips involved a ‘short hike’ by the leader that led into miles journey, while some were short and involved many bites and fish, and others of just a beautiful hike with many casts. I wouldn’t trade money for any of them.

Enjoying the outdoors and making memories.

I made the decision to set out on this adventure to help people. My trade in the manufacturing sector is centered around safety and I wanted to carry that friendly thought process under a different environment. One that I had a lifetime of experience in that could be used to help people avoid some of the pitfalls I made and get a quick start to enjoying themselves in nature.

My purpose

My ultimate goal here is simple to help others not make the same mistakes I’ve made. I thoroughly enjoy helping people have positive experiences at new things. This is why I’m constantly researching new products, places, and techniques for hiking, fishing, and boating.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help out.

All the best,

Eric Greeson
